Product Description
This Caterpillar 320D excavator is in excellent condition; previously used for earthworks in a rural area, it has been well-maintained and is a fantastic, like-new used machine. Engine is that inline cat unit (no oil weeping from the gaskets as far as I could see and normal dust accumulation around the base of the block and oil pan… what the heck I can’t recall) and the turbo on it is as normal as being road grime due to the digger being out in the dirt but not there because of oil leakage either. That’s the white canister that is dirty, but not collapsed or anything air filter housing.
Most of my time was spent in hydraulics as this is where these types of things leak money. Main pump is still genuine cat with nameplate legible, hoses have dirt, but I pulled a few of the lines out at the fittings, and there’s none of the rainbows or seepage, there’s some surface oxidation on the rods which happens when it sits for awhile but cylinder seals aren’t pissing oil which is a good thing. Soon the pins on Bucket’s worn, teeth must be replaced but they felt tight as I grabbed them and there was no slop. Now the inside of the cabin did surprise me it’s nice it’s clean, you can’t see any ripped seat fabric, joysticks are there, the floor’s clean, they took care of the cabin one would assume or maybe they detail the cabins out before taking the pictures, but it’s nice. Overall the iron seems to be in good shape, doesn’t smoke, no significant leaks, undercarriage isn’t a dumpster, would run it tomorrow if price is right, but do get the hours verified prior to wiring – will influence my decision.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
