2021 Volvo EC210 Heavy-Duty Tracked Excavator

I now have a close inspection of this Volvo EC210 heavy-duty tracked excavator at the dealer’s site. There are no oil stains under the chassis, and no recent oil stains around the travel motor. the first thing I check on every used crawler that is where you can see the staining without going under the machine with a light, everything else is dry for now. Looks good, track pads are triple bar grouser type, worn about 90 per cent down should be fine for another year I’d say with heavy digging use, track links appear to be unrestricted and all pins are non-cracked and bent in no appearances (we measured by standing height as well). Idler and sprocket teeth seem to be fair.

The entire inside of the cab was drenched in red wishing good luck cloth which they do here when they deliver, so I couldn’t check the seat foam, or joystick boots under the cab… everything was covered with the thick red aftermarket rubber floor mat, but I missed any cracks, no mud in the vents, dash and doors have the gray molded plastic, seems just as well, windshield is on both sides clean, no crazing at least, and no stress cracks in the corners, wiper blade is there. This model has boom and arm painted black factory style, no visible weld cracks at boom foot or dipper arm pin areas, hydraulic lines with spiral spring wrap protection throughout the length of both lines – standard to this spec, copper feed line at boom foot pivot appears to be factory supplied with no kinks and no chafe marks.

Engine bay – I attempted to look through the back louvered hood, no oil spray on inside of hoods, and no blowby residue caked under the exhaust stack. Upper surfaces on the engine bay and panels yellow & black two-tone, no serious impact damage on the hoods or exhaust side cover panels, all the paint on the counterWeight appears to be in good shape, and the Volvo lettering on the body seems to be in good condition, no reflector lock units are reddish, both sides are still there!
