2021 KOMATSU PC350 Crawler Excavator

Today I came to inspect a Komatsu PC350. When I opened the engine compartment, I saw that it was very clean inside, with no traces of new oil stains. It was an ideal engine.Tight red fuel cap, no seepage around lines or fittings on hydraulic lines to the boom or swing motors and black cover on the air filter housing. Yeah, dust has been collected on the radiator’s fins, but that’s a normal phenomenon, you don’t simply put your machine to work still dirty without cleaning the dirt off your fungus, do you?  All of the tracks are steel with rubber pads over them,  but underneath is old packed dirt and no sign of any new grease or oil leaking from the race – wait, checked swing bearing area again, under cab platform – it’s just old packed dirt, no path of fresh grease or oil from the race out there for swing bearings. That’s good.

No slop in the bucket linkage, I took hold of the stick and shook it – all seems tight. The ones with black accordion boots are boom cylinders, the accordion boot kept dirt out of the rod seals, hence the lack of dirt. Rear glass is all in tact with no cracks, camera system has been attached to the roof so that the operator had vision of the rear. The manual has come with the seat pocket. This is a mid size machine but with a long boom, it was probably doing river work or slope grading, loading trucks all day would be easier on the machine.I can’t tell you how many hours on that engine from the pictures because I didn’t see the meter in these pictures but from the outside it doesn’t look like it’s smoking from what I can see; no blowby around the breather and hoses are not cracked or bulging. In one of the under pictures it’s possible to see the swing bearing turntable, paint is worn and it is rotating and all the bolts are present and tightened; the frame around the bearings doesn’t show any cracks. There are no dents or cracks in the steel and track frame itself has dirt but not visible dents or cracks. Yellow is the colour on counterweight; no cracks. The overall performance of this excavator looks quite good.
