Product Description
Today, this Caterpillar 336D2 excavator is parked near the bridge construction site. There were several other excavators parked around it, and I inspected it first. Idler’s got some wear, sprockets look fine (not that I could see much through all that crap on them), and the rollers aren’t leaking (no less than half the machines that are my age that is). Boom has the typical scuffs from loading and unloading trucks and painting out of date and counterweight is a similar story, scuffs have worn their way into the paint, but there’s no damage whatsoever to the metal.
Most of my time was spent in the engine bay, what kills you on repairs is the lack of oil on the frame rails or pooling, on the engine it showed no sign of oil, wait let’s see here, the cat engine seemed to be dry and there’s a bit of caked job site dirt everywhere. Dusty valv-cover, and proper CAT yellow oil filter mean that somebody has been using the car and servicing with genuine Cat parts at least. There were no wet spots, there were no bulges, there were no new dripping spots in the hydraulic pump area drier than normal, no dust in the pump area. Everything is glass with the cabins there–no cracks anywhere–which is good because I’ve seen half of the machines I’ve seen taped up in that way the windows have broken and that’s a costly repair. The inspection was a bit rainy, so things appeared more “wet” than maybe they are, also had to wipe down some items to see if dripping was due to dripping or rainwater mixed with mud. The Boom moves smoothly – no grinding noises – all pins appear to be tight – no slop through a few cycles of mine on it. Overall, useful and seemingly not dismantled, but in need of some attention on hoses and tracks in the near future – the rest of ‘big things’, engine, pump and structure, seem to be pretty robust for the price these go for, all in all.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.

I’m a one man show doing septic tanks and grading. Rented forever until I found a Kubota U35 here. Wth financing rates right now I needed a cash deal. Got a great price. Rubber tracks are almost new. Starts every morning no problem.
