Product Description
The XCMG XE650GK excavator was inspected at a quarry. The Cummins engine started immediately without smoke or knocking (it’s a regular diesel engine). The body is red, just like it was when it left the factory. There were no leaks in the cylinder block, cylinder head gasket, or around the valve cover. Pins and bushings—walked under them, rollers and idlers were good, there was surface rust, but that’s to be expected in any set of track frames outside, no “slop” when pulled on the track frames. Sprockets look fine.
Then the time I spent with the hydraulics working as boomer and stick cylinders were dry and the chrome rods didn’t show any sign of scoring, as it’s desirable with this size machine and it does not whine or cavitate the pump when working through full range of motion. Wait let me look… yes after lunch, I have a look at the swing motor housing again and it’s totally dry – just grease and dust around the fittings- no fresh oil – which means that the seals are good. The hose appears to be newer, perhaps within the past year or two (the “date” markings I could see) and somebody has done maintenance — or at least the important maintenance. During the inspection it was blowing dust all over me – no exaggeration, it was windy as hell.Engine compartment; was surprised to find it in great condition, almost like factory with no oil mist coating like would be found on a tired machine, turbo boots and intercooler lines are tight. Runs smooth. Some areas of scuffed counterweight paint are good. In summary: This machine has strong digging capabilities, no oil leaks, a well-functioning engine, and is well-maintained overall; it is a standard used excavator that is practically new.

Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
