Product Description
I went to inspect this excavator in person today. The weather was overcast and there was a bit of a chill in the air, but that didn’t matter. It is a Hitachi ZX240 excavator powered by an Isuzu 6BV engine; this powertrain configuration is renowned for its durability and reliability—commonly seen across Asia—and delivers very robust performance when properly maintained. First step I took was to open the engine cover and check for any leaky spots around the oil pump and wet spots on the oil block as well as around the swing motor housing for any signs of oil leakage. Honestly looks dry, perhaps a little old grime on it but it didn’t seem to have anything new on it and there wasn’t any dripping underneath when I was down there, well maybe I have covered my notes… hydraulic hoses on the boom and stick all have the black tubes still on.
Pins and bushings that I was unable to see a good look at it without running it, but nothing really yelled at me as far as looking at them. Nobody cares about a Bucket’s used but whatever buckets are consumable are used. When I arrived the door was open and all it was missing was no dust in cubby area but there was some dust up on the dash of the door was not trashed, some scrap pieces of red jacket. All intact front and sides are all glass, including this sunroof thing which is nice I guess.It’s more about the engine bay’s smell here and to be honest, there is no oil misting in the hood, no cracked or leaking hoses and clamps appear to be secure. Inspected around the swing bearing block to the best of my ability (safe access) and it is dry. It has paint on the boom with it held decent (not many dusts, no big gouges or any type of dent where it could have been dropped or hit something at a very high speed).

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
