Product Description
I inspected this Sany SY215C excavator on-site today at an earthworks project. Although the track shoe grousers still have decent depth, the machine looks worse than its actual condition due to constant operation in wet, sticky clay; it is a machine currently in active service. There were no bent cores on the radiators that I observed and the radiator fins were even dusty, someone should blow them off before the summer or this will overheat during the heat of July.
No control problems, no sloppy joysticks or pedals, no metal apparent wear on pedals. One of those SANY touchscreens with Chinese characters mixed in, at the time when I looked at the display it said that the fuel was about 1/4th full. There was no slop I could hear or see when he cycled it for me, though I was not able to check boom and stick pins as machine wasn’t parked properly, it was in one of the holes and I’m not going under in this mud. Some sun damage to the boom paint, and some of dirt baked on to the counterweight – nothing structural. Tracks especially. Most of those he couldn’t see clean and had showing signs of buildup on, but were turning as he moved it and no squealing sound was heard. I couldn’t find any leaks and it wasn’t until commenting on photos describing my issues that I noticed this leak that I had seen around the time I built it on the swing motor housing, was it truly a leak or just assembly grease that hasn’t been removed from the factory, not sure. Machine digs fine. Operator said it has been good for them with no breakdowns as he quoted, regular services. If you are purchasing it allow for a good pressure wash, inspect the boom pins closely when on level ground and perhaps schedule some undercarriage work for the next 1000 hours; again depending on how you work it. An antique piece of iron isn’t being used.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
