Product Description
I conducted a quick inspection of this 336D2L on-site today; it is rare these days to come across a used Caterpillar machine in such excellent, like-new condition. I am confident my client will appreciate a machine in this state just as much as I do. Inspected idlers-all are holding up, surface rust on track frame, nothing that I am concerned about, track is just sitting on the yard.
All of the hoses were OEM CAT with the yellow caps on the ends, I checked all the fittings I could get my hands on, everything was dry, no seepage, no oil “mist” on the cylinders even which would tell me that it was not weeping yet and I poured oil into the swing motor housing and looked under the cab where the lines run and no fresh oil, that’s where I spent most of my time, with the hydraulics. Not much ability to feel any boom and stick pin looseness as I pushed on them, no slop, cylinder rods are clean with no scoring or pitting that really jumps out at you as they are gouged and then the seals go next.Cab’s actually clean. Keeping it down, operator’s hasn’t made it to the ground and/or someone did explain them first: floor mats are those with holes in the metal, seats are in tact and controls are still in place, and some sort of mesh has been thrown over the windows. There is a need for the budgeting of tracks soon. Without hours there is no way to determine what kind of engine it is, but nothing is smelling or dripping.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
