Product Description

The weather was a bit warmer today, but it was cloudy and a bit muggy. Nevertheless, I still inspected the Komatsu PC220 in the supplier’s yard.Machine starts smoothly with NO smoke up the stack, idles cleanly without the diesel knock you hear on worn out engines. Boom and stick cylinders move freely around their movement with no jerky or stalling out of hydraulics upon contacting controls.  No egg-shaped wear pattern on sprockets$idlers as it would indicate if someone had run it too long.

Actually cab’s cleaner than I expected, they still have the plastic on the seat is odd for a rental but none the worse. floor mat is red and is in a relatively new state, no burnt cigarette stains or oil stains will be soaked in. There are no “sticky” controls and worn down pedals. No metal on metal sound when door is opened and closed, unlike when the hinges are worn out!  Cranked the machine and checked for leaks – often ends up being the place these things leak – found the swing motor area and final drives dry, no wet streaks or puddles at these locations. Let me look at the main pump area again – sometimes dust adheres to new oil… no, it’s just old grime, no weeping out from new oil. There are no cracked or blistered hoses, no dried, crusty hydraulic fluid on and sticking to fittings. As you’d expect in an engine bay there is dust, but nothing is swimming in oil!It still has some rental decals on it, so it must have been maintained periodically rather than an owner attempting to get as many hours out of it as possible prior to salvage. Mud is in packed in tracks, but washes off.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.
