2018 Komatsu PC450LC Crawler Excavator

This Komatsu PC450LC was recently refurbished at the factory. It’s clear that it underwent a full maintenance and repair, and it’s in excellent condition. Even the cab looks like it just came from the factory.The JoySticks aren’t worn down to the nub like you typically see, the covers are still on either one of them. There is a fire extinguisher on the console, red identifier, white bottle, someone took care to place it there – that is the instruction of the former operator. Clear glass no cracks and wipers in place. I always smell around the house before I start looking under the hood and I don’t smell anything burnt any more.

The engine bay I spent the most time on was the komatsu engine, turbos there, big black intake pipe, fuel filter as well as the water separator both look new, no old dirt on the housings would usually indicate they were replaced not too long ago. All dry at first pass — double checked the pump area and the main valve manifold for good measure, none of the fittings had anything wet staining on them, no oil tracked anywhere, just old dust on fittings. All lines are properly labeled with Komatsu barcodes and the fittings at each location I examined had no oil on them, the body paint on all the valves is intact. Engine block leaves are lightly dusted (no dust at bottom of block) and no dripping. It was not smoked during the time we ran it. Runs fine.The focus you need to place is on the Undercarriage of this one. Steel shoes, triple grouser (no pads).  The height of the “grousers” is down, but not slick-flat, and still has bite in it. All shoe bolts were present, there were no noticeable oil changes done at cover (cap) of motor. There’s a few bottom rollers and carriers and did not see any wet seals but you’d want to put it on flat concrete and watch it for a few minutes to ensure. Some paint has been retained on top structure, counterweight is solid black, and there is no rust found on track frames. Boom and stick had the corrugated hose guards fitted and also seemed to be in good condition with no scoring that could be seen on the cylinder rods. Before being used with hard material the bucket teeth get worn down, replace them. Overall nothing noticeable is dripping, except to take a closer look at the undercarriage for possible leaks, everything looks good.
