Product Description
This afternoon, a supplier called to inform me to come and inspect a heavy-duty excavator, specifically this Volvo EC480. No plastic pop off on the volvo’s engine cover(no measure it must at least come with the car, too much trouble to take it apart), no coolant tank is full and transparent instead of opaque so you can check the level, no funny colors/loose pieces in the fluid. There is light dust in the Engine bay and it’s just lightweight, compared to some of the machines I see rolling out the back of the Skidstees without having a single spot in the Eng Bay with oil stains or dripping wet spots or on the valve bank, that’s uncommon for this size machine, though; let me look at the underside, wait, there’s not a single spot wet under the Hydraulic pump that I know of, no oil spills anywhere I’m looking, so just old dust, nothing dripping or wet that I can see. The tracks are at an average level of 80 to 85%. The center lugs have a good form, and the links are not bent or broken. I could see no wobbling or chipping of the sprocket, or idlers.
Cab is just plain stupid CLEAN. Either they haven’t eaten in this thing yet and still have the plastic wrap on, or they were just trying to clean it up to sell; both could be true as it is essentially brand new underneath the plastic and has a nice tan color. There is no caked mud or oil on the floor, gray head liner and not sagged, clear glass. There should be no bent hinges on the doors, they should swing smoothly. All the hydraulic lines were covered with those green hoses that prevent lines from being chewed through by meats and increase their life, which means someone took care that they wouldn’t be chewed through by some meat, as I did trace all the way from the cab, across the chassis, and nails to the valve stack and did not see any cracks or any weeping lines/contnections. Each of the big white Volvo cylinders with filters mounted on their side are recent-looking and the filter canisters are not grease-baked.I found bucket teeth and wear on the cutting edge (which was even), and pins on the boom and stick joints with no slop when looking and tugging on linkages. It’s dry – no grease blowout or chunks of bearings showing through (I could see neither from the position I was standing at) and swing bearing is out in the open under the platform. They are not chewed up or with missing pads, and tracked using steel triple grousers. No rusted or bent undercarriage frame, it’s painted to look good, when black. We made the most of the conditions during the inspection which was a bit bright out there so the detail I’m not as able to see but other than that this machine doesn’t look beat.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.

I’m a one man show doing septic tanks and grading. Rented forever until I found a Kubota U35 here. Wth financing rates right now I needed a cash deal. Got a great price. Rubber tracks are almost new. Starts every morning no problem.
