2020 CAT 323D2L Crawler Excavator

I recently found a Caterpillar 323D2L excavator in excellent condition. I get excited every time I see these power monsters; nobody likes them more than me.Today at the dealer yard walked this and the tracks had a lot of mud stuck so had to eye the rest of the way under it, but got under it enough. First the engine bay – exhaust has the “normal” brownish rust you see on anything that has been outdoors for awhile with the exhaust part not rotting out or anything. The hydraulic pump area is clean (used hydraulic machines are usually pretty sticky and dusty from leaks, I mean really clean. Inspected swing motor housing – Dry. I was surprised that none of the chrome is pitted on the cylinder and that nothing is scored on the rods because there is a lot of mud on this thing, but when I looked again under the tank, there wasn’t any new oil so we’re good there. All the hoses are oem, looked at some part numbers stamped on hoses – 1E2936, fittings are not leaking. The exhaust is very rusty, but it doesn’t appear to be falling apart.

The chassis is in pretty good condition, but there’s a lot of mud. : There is cement like packing material under the track frame; I was unable to get a view of all the nuts, although I did not see any of them cracked or bent. The swing bearing area is exposed and the swing bearing is lubed correctly, During the inspection, it was cloudy and very windy, causing me to be unable to get some of my close-ups so they’re not perfect but I got what I needed. no glass cracking.
