A 345GC excavator was found in the yard. There are scattered surface rust spots on the track links—this is normal and no cause for concern; the drive sprockets and idlers are in good condition, and the grease fittings are all present and easily accessible. There is no working leaks, no wetness under the boom or stick, all hoses in the engine bay are of the black rubber variety with the normal grime on them (no cracks or bulges observed), and the control valve (in the engine bay) is clean, no labels off the fittings, which implies someone was at least mindful about things. The cat power plant (engine) is the cat and valve house looks dry, no oil leakage around valve cover, while exhaust manifold and turbo housing have heavy corrosion, but not to the detriment of the ship as it has been looked at twice as it sits outside or near water, not to mention its not poisonous.The engine (cat power plant) is the cat and the valve house is dry with no oil leakage around the cover but there is heavy rust (not good but pretty common for a cat sitting outside or near water, checking this twice to make sure it’s not structural). Clean debris around radiator, all fins are fine, and there’s no debris packed there either, the AC condenser is in the cooling package too and though it looks fine and I didn’t notice any hydraulic pump weepage or anything like that when I took the car apart under the dash, I looked one more time and saw the old dust and dirt, nothing fresh or wet.
The cab is surprisingly clean for a working machine, operator seat is still in a decent shape, not any big rips etc. in the decladding, floor shows some signs of dirt but nothing crazy, ceiling shows no signs of any smoking or trash stuck in the ceiling, windows are clean (no cracks), joysticks have the yellow accent trim which made me laugh because every operator leaves something random behind, there’s also a red rag hanging in there. Standard 5 general duty, bucket has full 5 teeth, they do have wear, the cutting lip has some areas where the paint has worn off, as expected, there is dirt residue on the inside of the bucket, but nothing unusual to indicate cracks or stress fractures in those areas was observed and the inside pins seem secure. Engine bay has the “CAT DEO” sticker and all labels and warnings can be read, hood opens smoothly and doesn’t have a problem with clogged louvers. Boom and stick are not choppy and no funny noises during extension and retraction of cylinders, as far as my eyes can see no signs of rod scoring. Under this dull, gloomy, threatening to rain condition I didn’t do test digging but I gave it a pretty thorough look and it appears that it is a very good working machine that has been maintained fairly well, although not a lot, and not any different from that way.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
