Product Description

I tested this Cat 308E2 today; the tracks are not brand new, and there is some surface rust at the track shoe connections (a common occurrence for this model). The idlers and drive sprockets show signs of wear but no indications of excessive use or damage. There was no living in the cabin floor mat if that’s what you were expecting and the glass is not cracked but it could use a wipe, it’s easier to see dirt on the inside of my unit than in this one though that’s a plus, the seat fabric is fine no rips or tears, and the controls are working fine, they felt smooth when I pulled them down while riding on the bike, and there is a fire extinguisher present which is a good thing because half the time that’s missing too. No see chrome and clean no pitting on hydraulic rod on the main boom cylinder, boom and stick pins felt tight when I grabbed them, no slop.

Engine bay was side panels open – No pooling, no fresh oil on my notes which is what you’re looking for, hoses all were black rubber standard, no hosing cracking that really stood out at me, nope didn’t pull all the clamps off – but if there’s oil in the motor housing there’s oil out of sight from there anyway. Hydraulic block under the engine cover has multiple spools all fittings appear to be tight, aux lines already plumbed to the stick if buyer wants to add a hammer or grapple to the system they are up and running so they wouldn’t have to add anything. The undercarriage, as much as I could see without crawling underneath had no signs of a leak, drive or track frame were all as dirty as they always are and there were no oil or grease weeping seal leaks. In fact, during the inspection period it was very slightly damp so all was damp enough anyway but did not notice any fresh shining fluids. There is no “bucket on it” as such, it is a standard teeth dig bucket, there is a spare yellow bucket but I didn’t check that but I placed it by the other one. In general, the cat’s engine compartment was very clean with no smell of smoke or burnt up oil anywhere, and counterweight paint was worn in some areas, but no metal counterweight flaking or rotting. If it’s relevant to anybody it wasn’t an Operator’s manual in the seat pocket. Machine digs well. No cracks in Cab Glass. Would I consider it to purchase for my own hire fleet, or would I consider it for a job-site? Yeah, probably it’s used but it isn’t beat to heck either and it isn’t pristine, it’s just used.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.
