Product Description
This machine has been walked today and the engine fired up, no smoke from the stack but both the main and oil cooler radiator’s cores are full of dirt and there’s a lot of bent fins in the main and oil cooler, which leads me to believe it’s been running demo or concrete crushing for quite some time. I was able to see through all the mud caked on the rollers and track pads with the hour meter at 5872 hours which is honest wear for a sany 485 but not terrible or low either with no major play when I walked around it either with the tracks not sagging. Pins look tight. The breaker attachment is mounted, markings can’t be seen to determine brand, but it shows signs of significant use with the chisel tip worn to the bottom and covered with concrete dust consistent with the type of jobs this machine has performed.
The floor mats are so dirty and the wood grain control board over the screen is so scratched up that you can’t read one of the small screens, while the bigger screen is working fine, which I used to get the reading from, with no indication of the hour since the operator had been tracking in mud and dirt for ages: Had an aftermarket racing style cover on it, black and red, no tears, I checked the engine bay again, all right, looked under the hood, no new oil leaks, some old grime and dust accumulated, but no wet spots or drips, nothing that would cause me concern; just looking at it from the outside without taking it apart, seals etc. look fine. There is some surface rust on Counterweight and some fade/scratches in the paint but again this is cosmetic. I was in the overcast light when I conducted this inspection so I wouldn’t have got the lighting on the photos right but I got what I needed.Machine digs fine. No odd noises in the hydraulics when cycling the boom and stick, breaker started fine, tracks (both directions) moved okay, and the swing motor was not jerky or hesistant. Fuel tank was about,¼ full, coolant temp was normal throughout the entire running time. Good, fire extinguisher mounted in cab, unfortunately no sun shade mat on rear window.
