Product Description
Today we’re inspecting this Sany 485H heavy-duty excavator – it has been working, no doubt about it, the undercarriage shows it, the wear is cumulative from the link tension and the lack of flange collapse is good, but the tension is also stretched out a bit and the grousers still have some life in them but probably 60 to 65 percent lifetime left on the tracks – wouldn’t push it any further, anyway, without getting up close and personal with the bottom rolls as some guy in the yard next to them was trapped in a dump truck, blasting music for the majority of the time I was there.
That’s a real number, hours screen read 4991 — call it 5000 even — to date-stamp live on the dash June 9 2025. When I arrived there fuel was low, just that they didn’t fill it up, whatever. I would like to see how the coolant temp was, it was high, 100 to 110 out of 120 on the temp gauge and then I would want to see it before running it hard, because it is just full of dirt in the radiator cores, both the radiator main core and the a/c condenser side, it has never been blown out due to it being too full of dirt. Popped the side panel on the main pump bay, on the outside of the pump housing it’s dry, but if someone put it up on a lift there is dark wet staining on the frame floor that is not fresh dust, it’s seepage, but a slow seepage — it could be the swing motor seal, could be a fitting weeping somewhere on the main pump circuit — I couldn’t catch the source while standing there. Engine bay up top is not nearly so bad as I thought — valve cover is dry, no top end weep (which surprised me), and the turbo looks good with no damage to the silicone on the intake (which I thought it would be), but the exhaust manifold is super rusty, but that’s just heat cycle and age, no big deal there. Not damaged, it’s just a mess. Floor was with mud and grime ground in: door sill’s beat up; race seat (normally found in a street car) was still in place which does nothing for the car, but it was there; a/c panel was showing auto set to 18 degrees, so the a/c system’s present, there was a sany radio in there with the six presets still programmed. There was no disappropriation of lease or joysticks chewed by the controls, no cracked levers, etc., either. Standard worn Bucket Teeth – replace.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.

I’m a one man show doing septic tanks and grading. Rented forever until I found a Kubota U35 here. Wth financing rates right now I needed a cash deal. Got a great price. Rubber tracks are almost new. Starts every morning no problem.
