2022 SANY SY75C Crawler Excavator

The mini with the smiley face decal on its side that is orange and black, the person’s kid must’ve picked that one, SANY SY75C.  No grinding when I rode down and around it, although I didn’t pull covers, the swing bearing appeared to be OK with no play in the pins on the boom. As you’d expect, Bucket had the same wear spots on the side of the bucket that it’s gotten before, no cracks or anything in the teeth. Blade was very functional too, but it had a few bits of dirt underneath it, but that’s all the machines on a demo lot.

Now, let’s inspect the engine compartment, which is a crucial area because the engine determines the true quality of this excavator.Lots of things even before I started thinking about using my fingers – fuel filter and oil filter both appeared new, no heavy carbon on the block, no heavy sludge buildup, I did feel under the pump housing and down the injector lines for wetness, and nothing looked overly wet. First, it was dry, and I thought maybe something must have been up near the lower hydraulic manifold, but I cleaned it off and let the oil soak there for a few minutes while the engine was on; let me look at my notes; it was just some old grime and dust and no oil once again. Coolant reservoir was filled and checked for dye and contamination; no dye or contamination was noted. Surface dust was noted on hydraulics in the arm with no active seepage and rod seals were in good shape. Not really very humid and overcast, but everything was kind of wet, then if you’re not careful a dry machine will look kind of funny, but after you wipe it down they’re in the open! Machine runs smooth, no smoke on start up, throttle smooth. Tracks move evenly.In the car they have their red ribbons all tied up around like it’s just changed hands off the show room floor which is nice but more difficult to reach the handles without pulling a ribbon off I suppose. Basically all it has is some dirt on the mat, a dusty floor and some mud caked in the treads on the pedals, so it has been used but not in an abusive manner.   Controls were responsive, no lag in the hydraulics and a bucket curled quickly and stick movement was easily predicted. Good enough.
