Product Description

This is an SY55C excavator. It had been parked in a storage yard alongside other construction machinery; while the engine hood was still open, I carefully inspected the engine compartment and then started the machine for a test run. Four cylinder diesel, we have orange aftermarket type oil and fuel filters – both clean to go without weeping around the oil and fuel filter housing. There’s been some dust accumulated around the radiator, but nothing as if it has been hot, the hoses look dry–check my notes, no fresh oil anywhere, just the dirt you’d expect from a machine that’s been in use. There’s a blue control valve and hydraulic pump, all squirreled away in there, lines aren’t soaking, no puddles under the engine tray. Some of the pads may have been chewed up, but this isn’t an issue if it has been on rocky ground; idlers and sprockets are worn, but not so much that it is presenting a problem; bottom rollers appear to have a good layer of mud on them – not enough to see if there is play other than by loading them up and turning – but they seem to be wearing out quite a bit.

Operator was indifferent to housekeeping, floor mat was far from clean, used and dried mud strewn all over it, seat fabric was dirty but there were no rips in it which was good, oh and joysticks were grimy from use and not broken or loosened. During the inspection time, there was some rain and the windows had condensation on them inside and even though you can’t distinguish the gauges too well, all I could see on the control panel on the door is no warning flags on or anything. Machine digs well. Boom and stick have the usual scratches and paint fade as would be expected on anything that’s been outside for a while; cylinders are dirty and I didn’t have time to wipe them down (this would have been better to properly inspect the rod seals and I suspect they may be worn or damaged). Still no sign of leaks drip, drip. Almost as if Counterweight’s rear grille were nicely articulated and just dirty, there are three louvers here, and they’re all relatively straight. The main thing to look for when purchasing Undercarriage is the undercarriage and how well it’s built, if you’re going to use it for any amount of pressure those tracks will bottom out in the next full season if you ask me but the frame itself doesn’t appear broken or bent. Without moving it, I didn’t check pins and bushings as I didn’t run it today, just a visual pass. The boom has paint loss, occasionally with surface rusting but nothing which compromises the structure. There is a environmental sticker on the hood which would imply it was most likely city contract work.  Worked but used mini- engine looks pretty good, hydo looks good, cab needs a pressure wash down overall would be pretty good in my opinion.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.
