2020 SDLG E6500F Crawler Excavator

This SDLG E6500F, When I arrived the engine bay was already open, so it was easier; no leakage of fresh oil anywhere that I could see, I made sure to check the oil pump housing and the hydraulic filters twice as was poor lighting the first time, but it’s just old dust and grime with no active leaks. On a machine this old you would NOT want any rust flakes floating in the fluid; Coolant Reservoir has that blue cap on it and fluid looks ALL RIGHT thru the plastic. All hydraulic hoses are black rubber, some of them have dirt stuck to them, when I have wiped a couple where they showing no dampness below – no swelling or cracking that would concern me. Fuel separator bowl is full of fuel and filter housing to the left appears to be someone has been attentive in attending to services or at least hasn’t completely neglected them.

It’s really down under the undercarriage that it shows; leave it to me to say 60 percent of tracks are left,  some of the links have some surface rust, and nothing tearing off in big chunks structurally. I would give it about 3000 hours or less for undercarriage work if you are putting it back to serious use, having all of the various parts covered in mud you’d have trouble getting a perfect reading off of the gauges. No lousy looking boom and stick pins; no weeping hydraulic cylinders on the boom and no chrome that has been scored to death when I grabbed the bucket and gave it a shake around. These are a normal dig setup called Bucket’s, two teeth are worn down, but don’t have a breakout. Usual scratches to paint on arm, surface rust to counter weight, no rust through the metal, some red paint is scraped off a body panel on the left side from what appears to be a vehicle backing into a post or trailer.Cabin is dirty; it’s obvious that its operators have been working in mud; does have buildup on the floor and is gray at the seat, but fabric still there. Some dirt on the glass – normal joystick type controls – there is no broken-off glass.
