2021 Kubota KX163-5 Tracked Mini Excavator

Honestly, the first thing I examined on this machine yesterday afternoon was the underside as that is where you will find the answers on all these type of Kubota KX163 machines, Rubber tracks worn down about half, lug tops rounded out but body of tread is OK – No cracks on sidewalls, no splits that I could see, and tension is not too loose. Track is dirty, but that is just from being parked on a slab and some site dust as well as concrete grime – nothing structural. Front Idler Seal is dry. No oil. So, it seems under isn’t wet at all—no wait a second, I removed the travel motor cover area and placed my hand under it and re-checked and still nothing – it’s just old dust packed under there – the seals are holding fast and no fresh oil is seeping out. Blade linkage pivot pins have some rust on them which is quite normal as this machine has been kept outside, does not affect their performance at this time, however noted to sound to the customer should they wish to be anal.

Upper structure paint has a holding up orange color with no major gouges and cab surround paint is black with scuffed areas. Machine has the ai autoidle badge on the cowling so that is at least there, didn’t run the machine myself to confirm that it would work, but as per description from the seller. Boom and arm appear clean, cylinder lines along boom don’t appear to have any weepage of the fittings to the eye with my light source. Machine digs fine. No play.It is a full glass cab and from what I could see from the glass, it’s not wrecked inside, however during my visit I could not open it up and so I’m assuming from the sight of it, there is a floor mat and an intact seat and NO broken glass, no broken panels that I noticed.  I did top to bottom inspection of the top of engine bay and engine bay was not leaking I didn’t see black around the valve cover or a bottom pit when the guy ran it that day. Overall this is a used mini that is tired but not beaten, pins are tight and nothing weird is reported in regards to sound.
