Today, I drove for about an hour to inspect this machine, an XCMG XE305D tracked excavator—it looked like it had been operating at high intensity all along. I’m pretty sure there is no bent up or any leaking coolant on any cores, radiators are dusty, no oil puddles under the car at all, which is a good sign, lets check the photos again, hmm, no and there is the hydraulic cooler as well. I couldn’t see any cracks on the hoses and all hoses are dry; and the Brass fittings on the main hose valve were not weeping so I doubt if it had been run down on fluid. The best way I could check without removing the guards was that the boom cylinders were dry and that there was no wetness on them, just a lot of old dust that was settled on them due to the cylinders sitting in dirt all day.
Seats had an aftermarket yellow and black cover on it; it was a bit worn, but it was still usable. Two “joys” overhead, no broken-off nor missing parts (of which I am aware), glass overhead has some kind of diagram sticker on it. Some of the paint is peeling off the boom and arm, there are a few scratches at the door frame and below the counterweight you have the usual chips and water stains but no structural issues. As the Bucket teeth wear, they wear the same way as you would expect.Check hyd pump area and main control valve; were both tight, dry with no leakage around base plates or line connections, that is the first and foremost place you want to check if anything leaks, and there wasn’t any leaks on these China manufactured machines. Filter housings were OK – did not see bypass indicators trip. Truthfully, it is doing well for a piece that’s obviously been doing road work in stony or muddy environment, as they say, it digs smooth.

The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
