Product Description

I saw this Caterpillar 349 at the supplier’s site today. It was manufactured in February 2024, and it looks brand new. Removed side panels to examine guts and it’s cleaner than most 5 year old machines, the hydraulic area/wet side is fine, gnome is fine, all the hydraulic hoses are in good shape, the fittings don’t weep, pumps don’t have oil on them (they were just caked with dust sitting outside – let me check again up the swing motor) – no it’s fine, just old dust on them from being left out in the elements for site work. Tracks are interesting as I think someone spec’d rubber pads on this thing which normally means it is for road work or it is sensitive ground, the undercarriage as far as I know is maybe 10 to 20 percent worn and the black paint on the rollers isn’t even chipped much and links appear tight with no slop when I grabbed them. It was very muddy out there, all the crud is on top of it but underneath that it’s solid.

The weird part of the cab is it is almost too clean, they still have plastic on the seat as if someone had been babying this thing, the red floor mat is still in place, no scratches on the glass. Controls were no “flip flop,” just your normal set up for a cat; yellow & white joysticks, digital monitor worked, no “error” lights when powered on. Boom and stick must be straight (no bend), no everyday looking “pin” exists and no “jerk” exists when cylinders are extended. Not hitting the bucket therefore no test of breakout force, this is more of an attachment problem. The paint on the body is actually coin, I looked for the typical counter weight gouges or boom scratches and there are virtually none, either the guy never hit anything or there is weren’t very much.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.
