2026 CAT 307E2 Compact Crawler Excavator

I was recently invited by this dealer to inspect the machine again.This machine walked today around the middle of the day in a dealer yard; the cat 307E2 was in front with other iron mostly sany & komatsu behind it. When fired up in the engine, there is no smoke from the stack and the hydraulics react quickly when cycling the controls. The smooth, bucket curls are extended by boom, with no jerky motions; the track is tracked forwards and backwards, without slipping and any odd noises from the last track drives. Idler wheel appears good with no chunks missing, the rollers do not appear to be damaged (did not crawl down there and look). Dried mud around the undercarriage and track surfaces as well as leaking from the final drive housings, etc. but that is to be expected from a working machine and it’s clean, no fresh leaks that I could see.

Personally, I prefer to inspect the machine on a sunny day because the good lighting makes it easier to check details.No sign of damage anywhere, and the glass was all intact, but I didn’t climb in, as the door was locked and the dealer guy was talking on the phone.  There is some wear, in that there’s black paint on the under carage and counter weight, it is not crazy wear though. no apparent leaks around rod seals or cylinder casing, hoses around the boom looked black, not cracked or dry rotted and showed no leaks. Dozer blade on the front normal, there is a bit of the bottom edge of the blade that has been scraped, just to push dirt around. On the counter weight, there are rear work lights still on with yellow caution marks. Machine digs well. I did not feel any rag in the boom or stick pins going along with the movement of this. Overall this 307E2 appears to be a decent, solid work horse  it is new and it is totally hammered out either, and everything else seems to be fine for a used mini ex on the lot of a dealer.
