Product Description
This Caterpillar 307.5 excavator is the newest and best-condition excavator I’ve inspected recently. It has only worked 806 hours, and it’s a single-operator machine. It’s clear that the previous operator did an excellent job maintaining it. Works fine on the display, touchscreen responded to probing about the menus, fuel gauge read a ¼ and the temp was normal.
Put the hood up and inspected all of the usual trouble areas, and there’s some light oil residue on the yellow paint around the hydraulic parts, but it’s an old stain and not dripping, hoses are fine – no cracks or bulges – I checked all of the exposed fittings and they’re all dry – wait let me check that pump area again – yup it’s just old oil dust, there’s no real active drips so the seals must be good. Nothing there is of concern as Bucket’s teeth look to be in good condition, pins are not sloppy, boom and stick cylinders extend smoothly and hydraulic lines are routed properly on the arm with cat branded hosing. There is mud stuffed under the machine’s undercarriage, but that’s it; the rollers spin freely and track frame is not damaged/warped. There are no cracks, only surface dirt in this solid Counterweight.20 and 806 hours means it’s hardly out of the box compared to the 3000 hour units next to it in the lot. I can see the sun and get a good view of the engine compartment, which indicates that somebody performed basic maintenance, and no rust or deep gouges in the paint indicates it was a good year (barring the oil slime under the power floor), and it has a clock showing 14:11 and a radio tuned to 88.1 so all the electrical systems have been checked and are operational and not half-assed rigged together. Boom plays lag free. Tracks tight.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
