Product Description
Let’s take a look at a Chinese-made Zoomlion ZE60GA excavator, powered by a Weichai engine. It’s an engine by Weichai and I looked at the valve cover (no weeping around the gasket, quite rare on a Chinese build) and the oil (looks clean on dipstick), air filter housing (the white round one is clean) and exhaust (bonafide flex pipe with a heat wrap with no sign of carbonization, which is a sign of being burnt from oil so this seems to be all good) Here is the multi-spool valve bank – I believe it is 8 or 9 sections I don’t remember – all the lines have those green hosing blankets over them, so I mean someone took care in assembly or rather they didn’t drip all over the place and the reservoir cap seems to be tight and the sight glass was clear, and there was no wet spots around any fittings, except some one had to get on the ground and there were some older dust deposits in the pump housing – but that seems to be clean as well – no fresh leaks or seepage of any kind.
Interior is still basically in “ship’smustard” (plastic), joysticks have the same film on them as when they came off the boat, seat with protective gray fabric hasn’t been used much, floor mats etc. are textured rubber and spotless, control panel is cream colored and all switch closure is good, no scratches or cracks on windows, rubber door seal is black and doing a good job of closing. The Cab has AC and has vent seen but I didn’t get to test the cooling. Really clean inside. I am tightening up the pins as far as boom cylinder, bucket cylinder, arm cylinder and rods in the boom, no pitting or scoring. The lime green colour on the boom and stick is Zoomlion and the charcoal grey is machine’s counterweight, there are no gouges or impact damage that would indicate it is abused with some light surface dirt. During the inspection, it was raining so I did not get as close to examining each fitting as I would have liked, however all signs of it being a low time or even unused machine, it would appear that the machine was nearly new stock.

That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
