Product Description

I observed this Komatsu PC450 excavator up close at a farm; the machine appeared remarkably stable and solid while moving, needed to check out the engine bay and everything was popped open when I arrived, but there was no evidence of pooling under the block, filters are replaced fairly frequently and they looked pretty clean, white canisters still fairly clean, radiator fins weren’t packed with crud which is always a good noise as when these go bad, it is the start of chasing problems forever. Lines look factory installed with no lines that weep, I see no chafing on lines running through frame rails and the swing motor in the center has about 6 lines coming off it, all look to be factory installed. Wait, let me look to see if I have jotted down something… yeah, looked in the dust basket two times around the pump casing for fresh oil film is non-existent.

The surfaces of the links are normal rusty, the rollers move freely when I kicked them and I don’t see a chewed-up sprocket. Idler looks fine. I didn’t see any crack in the track frames, but, with all the (expanding) dirt, you could never be sure, that’s just the way it is sometimes.  Side panel has Japanese writing and a phone number – I suspect it was a rental unit or result of contractor fleet where these things need to be serviced regularly or time will be lost. I didn’t see any play in the pins when I picked the bucket and shook it. According to yard guy, it runs fine without issue, and it wasn’t started by me due to some reason with the battery.I would subtly be the entire time out there and my note taking got a little stagnant due to their overcast and drizzly weather. Machine digs well according to the hours, but I didn’t get a reading off my hour meter, the display wasn’t powered up. Clean no cracks / Counterweight. If you’re considering it for purchase, it’s not a basket case by any means, it’s a machine in action, with a life in it, just make sure you price it appropriately and budget for a full service when you buy it.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.
