2017 SDLG LG685 Crawler Excavator

This machine this morning out in the middle of nowhere, dry field, yellow paint work is holding up quite well on the cab, boom & counter weight are in varying stages of chips & bare metal, but nothing structural, cosmetic from the work. SDLG LG685, the Super variant. Engine bay is a 4-cylinder diesel, Japanese stickers on the block – appears to be a Yanmar setup, oil and fuel filters – both spin-on and filters OK – not new but not caked either. Oil residue on the surfaces of the block is not noticeable and oil residues are dry to touch, there are no oil spots or rings around the oil filter bases, and no oil drips on the ground under the oil filter assembly. For the size of the machine, the inclusion of an AC compressor is a positive, as is its mounting and presence. Coolant hoses appeared to be serviceable, I did not notice any cracking at the ends of the hoses around the clamps.

Double check my story, the hydraulic pump is Hefty Tandem Axial, Grey Cast Housing, Two Pump Tandem, the port fittings are dry, no oil seepage at the seal faces — after I read it a second time I checked the area of the coupling — somebody left a red rag there and made me look twice, but the surface was just dusty and no fresh oil, no wet surfaces. Valve block is actually multi section, blue body, 6+ Section hoses are mix of Thermoid Global + Parker Lines with 15.9mm on spec tags – outer jackets are not bulged or chafed and fittings are swaged JIC type and all dry. In the background there is the blue return filter canister that looks like it has been there for some time and it’s dry with no bypass indications. I see all port caps still on the unused pump ports which means it was in use recently or they just don’t remove them and put them back on.  Being not junk it does require some room during the next couple of hundred hours or so, depending upon the conditions they’re running it on, for undercarriage work. All of the above were working well, 1 has a weave cover over the seat; Mud splattered on floor mat; Two joysticks moved freely when I tested them, safety lockout lever was working well in this one as well. No monitor or display screen was visible by me that is worthy of the question to be put to the seller. Operator’s manual not found in seat pocket, as I always do as a habit. Nothing was leaking overall this was a used machine used, fine no surprises there, digs fine and runs fine, just don’t look for some fresh iron.
