2020 SDLG E6500F Crawler Excavator

SDLG E6500F, crawler excavator, big iron. Original yellow original body colour reads clean from 10ft; some chipped corners at both corners of the counter weight, bare metal, and some red bleeding through on the rear left panel, around the tail swing area – does not affect anything but cosmetic and for buyers information. Good Cab, glass is all intact (on most panels) and roof guard bars all up and not bent. Beacon dome on cab pillar is brown/cooked and due to sun damage. Walked deck is a dirty, yet solid, steel with NO bend when walked on.

I spent majority of my time in Undercarriage. The track shoes are triple grouser steel and I’d conservatively say that they’re 40-50% worn down.  The loss of paint on the track frame is expected and the bare metal on either side of the frame is covered with surface rust, again a natural consequence of a machine this size, and actually used. No track guards fitted – not required. It’s filled with packed mud and concrete debris through all of the links, so this is clearly something that has been in material (not sitting in a yard). Bottom rollers/carrier rollers appear to be good, flanges appear ok, — lemme take a second look at this, — double checked with the undercarriage photos, I’m not seeing any oil weeping at roller seals, just dry accumulated grime. Fine.Hydraulic pump compartment, one is the area in which buyers actually always want to know about. There is tandem piston pump in there, and swing motor, only the dark film on the casing is dust-bonded, and is usually worse than it appears as it consists of old residue, combined with fine dirt, not a fresh leak. I looked in all of the hoses I could see and there was no drips, no wet-shine lines (fittings were dry/snug). There is dark staining on the compartment floor as well, but it is not pooling and is probably from when it was serviced, or it’s been snugged up somewhere. Hard lines, hoses and fittings are not cracked and hoses appear to be in good condition. From viewing the rod seals there did not appear to be any scoring on the chrome and boom & stick cylinders were dry.  Repository begins with machine, sit digs very nice, which the operator indicated me.  It is a used fully functional machine, as would be expected for its age and size, no hidden problems found, but allow for teeth, bushing and track shoes to be replaced during first service.
