2018 SDLG E690F Crawler Excavator

This SDLG E690F excavator was discovered by chance near the customer’s site with mud everywhere and dripping, dripping all the time while walking around, it didn’t help being able to see beneath the machine as the gauges were pretty dusty but did check the main pump housing near the valve block, there was a sheen that looked like oil to all the fittings but wait, let me check again… Yeah, just old grime built up around the fittings, no drip at any fittings and no wet spot growing under the fittings. Engine sounds solid to me it’s not smoking or knocking anything, some rust on the surface of the brackets on the exhaust wrap that seems cosmetic, and some fraying on the edges of the exhaust wrap.

The tracks are really dirty with mud, I would estimate the wear on the pins and bushings by eye, but would hesitate to just guess it’d be off, rubber pads still look good (where I was able to look at them) not any chunks missing as far as I can see. No play in the pins in the digs, and the bucket cylinder moves freely, no hesitation or jerking in the cylinder movement, no peeling paint on the tires, and the bucket valve block and pump are dry for fresh leaks, just years of dust and dirt on old oil film – normal on a machine of this condition doing yard work. Overall HEADECTORS: iron is tight where it counts Boom and arm pivots don’t have any slop in them, engine seems to run fine on idle and under light throttle, only concerns are cosmetics and the mud right now on the undercarriage making it impossible to true up until now. May have to track wash these before the pricing, as the concern would be the rebound on the track from settlement and possible weld/rebuild tags around the hydraulic pump, which I could not find any, and also around the rollers and idlers as these are possibly the biggest culprits in hiding any issues.
