2022 SDLG E6205F Crawler Excavator

Around 20 ton class crawler excavator by SDLG E6205F. First was the engine bay which is weichai under the hood but with no oil streaks down from the valve cover, and no oil spray on the block — the coolant bottle is a little low (close to the MIN mark) so it will need topping up but that should be done within a few days by whoever buys this. Hoses appear to be in good shape, Clamps appear to be in place and the Turbo Input Pipe has some rust on the metal portion, but this is cosmetic – it all appears in good shape. It is not clean in the engine bay, however there aren’t any “wet” things in the bay.

It feels dry on the pump side, no, went back and re-examined the swing motor housing, only surface rust and old dust and grime at all the fittings with no sign of new weeping or shiny or wet. Main valve block- Oxidation on main valve fittings, and all hose connections that I could see seemed to be dry. Both fuel filter and water separator are SDLG brand and no staining around the bases; Water separator shows green fluid as normal. The rest of the hydraulic lines run with spiral wraps for runs, a couple of fittings are covered with that matte corrosion that can be found on anything that has sat outside. Cabin interior – didn’t get a good look at the interior cabin amenities, operator forgot to have some items on the rear seat.As far as the undercarriage is concerned, the tracks on this are triple grouser steel and width wise would look about 500-600mm but the track links are filled with surface rust along with some dried in mud and carrier and bottom rollers all have flange rust in the photos I saw, but no sign of a seal weep — not the main thing to be worried about but would be on mine with another year or so before replacing the tracks. In many places track frame is just pure metal with the paint long since flaked off; it is rusted through in places. The most disappointing is the area around the bucket and stick linkage: Stick has bare metal showing around the bucket pin area, heavy paint that peels off from the lower boom section, the bucket pins looked “tight” (when pushed by hand) but the grease caps are missing from the bucket pins; whoever gets this machine needs to take care of that, in order to run the machine.
