Product Description
Today’s excavator (Sumitomo SH380HD) is equipped with an Isuzu engine. Although it’s a bit dirty, the lettering on the nameplate is still clearly legible. Some surface rust is present on idlers and is to be expected on idlers that are not indoors and in a covered area like this yard and sprockets appear to be worn but not so much that they are in need of replacement. Underside has a lot of dried on mud and dirt, but all cosmetic and I didn’t see any fresh toilet weeping from track motors or track finals, wait let me look at my notes again… yep, all dry, old dirt. Edge is worn not thrashed, Bucket has five teeth on it, you will be able to get some more hours out of it before cutting edges are needed.
All controls were tight with no wobbling of any joysticks noted during hand motion. Orange safety vest being thrown on the seat and seat us even mechanically appeared clear of damage, but needed a good vacuum inside. Not being too familiar with the inner workings of these vehicles, other than the fact that they use a lot of oil, I spent more time in the engine compartment where was was seen that there were no bent or soiled copper fins, the oil cooler next to the radiator had no oil in it, which was good. Performing a normal inspection of areas that can have dust buildup (hydraulic pump area) and checking for seepage on all visible hoses and fittings revealed nothing. Fuel filter – that yellow spin-on-type, would say it is fairly new but cannot say for certain without service Log.Chrome scoring wasn’t observed from the ground, and a visual inspection of the cylinders shows that they are dry on the boom and stick and there is no sign of paint wear from the seal puking it all over. To be honest the complete hydraulic system appears to have been hanging around and there was no leakage from it under the machine that I could see. Some dirt on Counterweight, but also appears under the surface to be solid metal. Overall it’s an operated excavator that has had some time on it and the only time it’s had issues is being pretty much given a break, you’ll want to do your own fluid checks and function tests, but as far as the walk-around aspect of things its not setting any red flags off for me.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.

I’m a one man show doing septic tanks and grading. Rented forever until I found a Kubota U35 here. Wth financing rates right now I needed a cash deal. Got a great price. Rubber tracks are almost new. Starts every morning no problem.
