Product Description
The Sumitomo SH380LHD excavator was inspected at a muddy construction site; its digital instrument panel showed 4,679 hours of operation. Engine compartment is cleaner than I thought—Sakura fuel filter, Fleetguard oil on there and no wet areas around the block or pump housing were seen at this time. Radiator fins are clear – are not normally like this; normally the fin is solid packed instead. Hydraulic lines in the engine bay are dry (no new oil stuff drip-ing)-and gasket around main oil pump casing shows no seepage from the oil, suggesting they’ve stayed on top of service or it just hasn’t been worn out to the point of dripping. The engine is not blowing boat as muffler isn’t soaking in oil mist. The rollers and idlers have been buried under the site dirt so, I couldn’t get a clear shot of them but, when sitting, nothing is howling or wobbling.
Really, the inside of Cabs is pretty clean, black and white seat cloth is not ripped or oily, floor mats are dirty, but that’s just mud off of Bootz, and all of the controls are present and functional—at least the joysticks move without hesitation, monitor turns on and boots up with graphics, right-side panel has the climate controls and another little screen. During inspection – ran it in idle while it was dripping – but as I can see things are working in idle. There are no cracks in the glass and the AC unit was mounted on the top; it doesn’t contain anything in the seat holder that is needed, but thought I would mention it. Single Tooth Rippers on Bucket, heavy rock, teeth not broken off, no slop on pins. No gouges and bent metal and boom/stick paint has some scuffs, but otherwise looks good under the dirt, cylinders aren’t leaking down the rods and chrome on the rams look good under the grime.Below is dry—that is, I have walked around and looked at fittings and the swing motor area; it is just an accumulation of dust and a little surface rust on the fittings, no fresh leaks pooling or hoses weeping, etc. Swing bearing area is normally dirty but there is no fluid extruding. It has faded and backing-in props, however, its counterweight paint is faded and “slewed” up, but that is cosmetic. Machine digs well. No play. Sure, not as popular as the Japanese big three, but this Sumitomo iron has been kept maintained, filters, and hard under 5k hours as the clock shows – it’s pretty well broken in, unless it isn’t!

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.

The team here truly understands the procurement process of construction companies—they won't bombard you with sales calls after you submit an inquiry, but will send you the specifications, prices, and inspection documents you require within an hour. 10/10, they will be our first choice for all future upgrades and replacements of our excavator fleet.

I’m a one man show doing septic tanks and grading. Rented forever until I found a Kubota U35 here. Wth financing rates right now I needed a cash deal. Got a great price. Rubber tracks are almost new. Starts every morning no problem.
