2019 Doosan DX520LC-9C Crawler Excavator

This DX520LC-9C doosan excavator with the scania motor under the hood, first place to check on these is the engine bay, and there was nothing going to be wet and not dry, no obvious cracked spots on the block, the valve covers were not wet, the tops of the hoses were clean from drooling, but around the hose fittings seemed to be original but nothing was soaking, the exhaust manifold has surface rust on it, it’s a normal thing with these units on the amount of hours and age, nothing fresh in the top of the motor — dusty, and not soaking near any places, so that means it was not bleeding out up top. Not smoking.

The “life” part of this thing is a little on the bodywork — solid impact dent and scrape on back of upper structure and paint gone, bare metal exposed; and some surface oxidation on hardlines, but no any-weeping-at-fittings in filter compartment  and pump area looks dry, no staining on ground in parking area.Undercarriage is the hard call now — you won’t be able to see the wear surfaces, all the grouser tips are packed full, and I would literally estimate the wear surface got a good 80% life left — but you can only see that if you take all that hardened mud off. Hell, the whole frame itself is loaded with dried clay and cobble, the site itself was running on rocky mix over clay and you can really tell. From the side, the track tension is normal. Idler dry. Nothing was seeping out the front idler seals that I could see, but I’m afraid it was the mud and the console dust, the monitor screen was intact, but I did not start it, and the seat had a crack in the right booster. No manual was in the seat pocket, I don’t know if it is in the toolbox or just gone. Machine digs. Runs fine. Have the undercarriage pressure washed before someone makes a final decision on the iron.
