2021 Doosan DX380LC-9C Crawler Excavator

This Doosan DX380LC-9C 9C series excavator has a fully enclosed cab, and the windshield is bolted with a mesh, suggesting it was likely used for working on rock faces. Up top there’s an LED light bar and 4 lights, it appears a bit aftermarket but wired clean enough to be operated as such by Roof. Popped the engine bay, single stack exhaust, top louvered grille, no fresh oil anywhere on the block or around the turbo, not smoking at idle or through load (observed), no rattles, no smoke when accelerating as far as I could see just a clean exhaust and there was no black puff when accelerating. The paint on the upper body is holding off (as you’d expect), couple chips around the base of the boom and lower panels, nothing that I’d be concerned about structurally.

It’s triple grouser steel tracks with 40 to 50 percent worn grousers, rounded off the edges and material is still present but in my notes when I did them if you are purchasing these; you must plan on shoes in 3500 to 4000 hours depending on conditions, hard rock or quarry rocks will eat through the material fast. Tracking with a chain you can see the bushing faces have worn round and are in the normal manner, and there are no broken links (what I could see anyway). All bottom rollers and carriers are caked solid in dried clay and until I wash it down with pressure wash, I wouldn’t give it 100 per cent without making an active drip and not finding any wet oil staining in any place of the frame. Front idler appears to be ok. Rail framing – no cracks.Boom & arm – cylinder rods chrome is fine and clear, no scoring, no weeping around the boom or arm cylinder gland seals, no hoses that I can see are cracked or showing signs of chafing which are routed along the boom. The bucket is a normal digger, the teeth still exist, but it wasn’t possible to check the point wear as it was packed solid with clay. Inside has the cab operator’s gear bags, jacket all over seats and floor and he/she wouldn’t open the window or clean out the bag of sunflower seeds in the left door cup holder (not sure what that is); I saw the seal around the left window was not the factory rubber. Glass of Cabin – no cracks. This machine is capable of overall digging. Needs undercarriage money. No leaks confirmed.
