2019 Volvo EC240 Crawler Excavator

A volvo EC240 heavy duty and the first thing I noticed before I even got in the machine is that the seat still has the factory plastic on it, and, volvo still had the plastic packaging two joysticks, and nothing felt like grease was on the arm rest, the paint was not cracked, the overhead liner solid, the seat plastic still on alive and kicking, the floor mat was lightly dusted but nothing was ground in, and — so that means that whoever operated this machine, very little use was made of the machine, or the man or woman is real particular about keeping things covered — either way, they still got the seat plastic on it, and volvo still has the plastic wrap on two joysticks, it was never used much or the man or woman is very particular about keeping things covered, either way. Engine bay — volvo D6E series, green block, no film running down the block, no pooling on top, and blue lower hose looks fine no splits (from top down view of Hose), and the air intake hose is not split. Well I did start to suspect a bit about the filter side, there are some aftermarket spin-ons in there too, doesn’t matter too much just want to know if they have been servicing them based on their service schedule and whether up to date or not, well let’s check with my notes I will see the pump housing itself is dry, no fresh oil at the fittings, the accumulator is ok, the floor of that bay CLEAN… no old staining either. No wetness in any part of the hydraulic bay with no hoses sagging free except the spiral hoses appear tight, a steel JIC on the top, right side had discolored rust but no signs of oil whatsoever, must have had the rains outside for awhile.

Tracks don’t sag so far as I can tell; the travel motor housing is dry — there’s no gunk on the housing of the travel motor; belly plate is on and looking sound, no visual cracks or signs of deformation or weld repair. Oh and the Operator’s Manual wasn’t in the seat pocket, which of course I always make a note of because it’s such a little detail but it really grinds my gears.The quick coupler plumbing is in place on the arm, red hoses, there appears to be an attachment running — great add-on for prospective purchaser! Machine is upright with no lean, no discernable stick or boom structural cracks, paint is resisting on upper structure, teeth on bucket are worn but still have life & cutting edge has surface rust. By the external evidence is ok.
