2020 SANY SY215C Crawler Excavator

This is a SANY SY215C excavator that has undergone a complete and meticulous refurbishment. The cleanliness of the engine compartment is truly astonishing. There is no oil leakage in the oil pump housing, the filter looks new, and it may have even been recently replaced. There are no leaks in the hydraulic lines under the black sleeve, and there are no oil stains or wet marks (where oil would normally leak, there are none). Swing motor area is the same, no pooling and clean.  Rollers roll fine (no slop), idler appears to be fine. The tracks are rubber, not cracked that I can see, but are extremely dirty.

However, I wasn’t able to see the interior of the cab due to the operator carrying the keys with him and his departing for lunch, and apart from the fine, black mat on the platform, there were no cracks to be found in the glass and no dashes, or any lights or controls to check on. That’s the only area of the main hydraulic cylinders that has not been cleaned, wait let me check the boom and stick hydraulics again, no chrome rods with pitting visible and no dripping oil seen from the rod seals, this is good because these cost a lot of money to replace and if they are dry or cracked it will be obvious. Boom structure intact with no cracks, no hard impacts/repair and paint holds. Lighting wasn’t ideal during the inspection – it was a bit cloudy but was good enough. No dents and painted counterweight. Side panels were open, I didn’t see any carbon outside of the exhaust and fuel filter and oil filter looked clean when I got there.  I could not hear the machine at all and could not tell if it was cold or not but the bay gave a pretty good example and if the machine was dingy you will not see this much grime and oil from a machine as neglected as this one.Not quite perfect but no red flags, the undercarriage needs to be done soon, you would want to get in the cab and run it for an hour or so to test the weak cylinders, any knocking etc and the hydraulic response and then commit. From what I could see, it would be a 8 out of 10″ condition. No fresh leaks. Pins look tight.
