2022 SANY SY215C ACE Medium Crawler Excavator

This morning I came here to inspect this Sany 215C ACE excavator, and looked at the first thing I opened, the 4 cylinder motor, and the air filter doesn’t look like it’ve had a filter change in a very long time, but it’s not full of oil, the exhaust stack is vertical which is good, the coolant hose is one of those huge aftermarket ones that always makes me nervous, but for this one it is fine because I checked and the block is not fully coated in oil, I checked the pump area and the valve block and the oil is just plain old road dirt stuck to the valve blocks, nothing recent.

Cabin used – not trash all seat fabric no tears and some dirt on the floor mat its a normal level for site machine, both Joysticks still in place and feel like no slop, travel pedals steel and solid, front glass with a wiper (all replaced in travelling machines) and it is not cracked which is always a half day job and nobody wants. Controls are standard ISO/SAE so that no operator has to do any re-learning to be able to jump in any day.This machine records its hours under the machine. Looking at the identified chain: sag was noted (a good sign as the chain indicates a certain amount of elongation/rein in the chain), front idler contact surface was rounded and smooth (no cracks, but front idler contact surface was not as square anymore as they wear down over time depending on the amount of rock work it has done — maybe 50 to 60 percent remaining), the rollers had a lot of dried mud and concrete on them so I couldn’t see the seals directly, but I could not see any fresh oil weeping through — bucket cutting edge was flat as well and showed no side cutters on the cutting edge (must be replaced before any significant production work). Machine digs well. No play. Boom pins are tight with no apparent scoring on the arm cylinder, nozzle and bucket is the same—the hoses are all well routed around with one of the unused tools still having a cap and the person that ran it didn’t just do it at random. Don’t dispatch this beast to the hard and abrasive because it is quite a working machine (and provide for a track and roller tune-up).
