2022 SANY SY265C Crawler Excavator

I saw this Sany SY265C excavator in the yard today. It started right away after a cold start, and I immediately thought: “My God! This is definitely a good sign.” The tracks looked like each track plate had about 90% wear, and there wasn’t much clumps of mud or thick clay residue, indicating it hadn’t been in swampy areas for months. There was only some dust and gravel on the tracks, meaning it had been used, but not abused in harsh environments.

I spent most of my time in the engine compartment (opening the side panel, it was very dry; no oil stains under the pump and around the main valve block; no broken engine hoses; all the hydraulic joints of the swing motor looked dry and there were no leaks), so I concluded there was nothing to worry about. There was some rust on the exhaust pipe and muffler, which is normal. Since the vehicle is parked outdoors year-round, it would be corroded in winter or throughout the year, but the rust was limited to the exterior; the internal structure was intact. The fuel system had a clean inline fuel line replaced because I found it wasn’t as dirty as I had imagined. The diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank is aluminum, cleanly installed, and there are no dents or leaks around the mounting straps. I checked the hydraulic pump again—it only had some old grime buildup—and wiped it with my hand; it didn’t pick up any dirt, so there are no leaks. The cab interior is very clean; the black fabric seats are free of tears or damage, the rubber floor is in place, and there’s only some ordinary dust, no trash—some cabs look like this because they’re frequently used by rental companies. The sunroof functions properly, the door seals are in good condition, and the operator’s manual is missing from the seat compartment—but this doesn’t affect the machine’s functionality. The boom paint has slight wear, the welds are crack-free, there are no bent areas, the boom assembly has been machined to bucket standard (digging setting), and there is about 1/8 inch of wear around the cutting edge, but it still functions normally. The counterweight paint is intact. The machine digs smoothly. After repeatedly rotating the stick and boom, the slewing bearing made no unusual noises, the hydraulic system did not vibrate, the pins were tight, and the linkage mechanism was not loose, indicating that the machine is in good working order. It has excellent mechanical performance and is ready for immediate use. In the field of garden machinery, it is superior to most similar products, requiring only some routine maintenance.
