Product Description

The piece of equipment I’m here to inspect is a Sany 305H excavator. Upon arrival, I only needed to clean the grease off the engine hood latch—and since the engine compartment cover was already open, it saved me quite a bit of trouble. Like this Chinese machine, no photo of the hour meter but based on the age of the paint on the boom and dirt… all the lines underneath the cab are dry, no fresh oil however, that’s a common area for these to weep when the seals go so I’d guess this thing’s been working steady for a couple years… rubber pads over the links are cracked in a few spots nothing critical just normal wear from what I see on these Chinese machines after hitting 3000-4000 hrs, and the same for the swing motor area underneath, was dry, just old grease and dust no weep there so where it was experienced so far was exactly what I’d expect on any machine with that many hours.

As far as I can tell it is a gray block but I’m not sure tell you the model, but it started up in good condition with the operator cycling it; no blue smoke or any knocking and the exhaust manifold was surface rusted but that’s cosmetic, the air intake pipe has that orange surface rusting that is throughout everything here due to the humidity and the fuel filter housing was white and it looks like previous owner changed it during the last service. Tracks are worn. As long as there are no major issues, radiator stack does have some debris stuck between the cores, but it’s just a slight blowout with the air hose; counterweight looks like it’s in good shape with no chunks missing and glass in cab looks fine, pink stripe graphics are faded but who cares. Undercarriage frame has the ever-present grease smears and dirt you can’t miss; however, no pooling under the machine nor fresh grease drips, indicating that the main pump and swing drive-seals are holding, with no “stink” when leaned in close, indicating the hydraulic system is holding. Chrissy, I went running today and if I smell something with a strong odor I would have smelled it. Overall fine digger, can move fine, no abnormals (apart from bucket teeth worn, machine looks well washed, no abnormal noises noticed that I can’t see in the video, just needs a good wash and new bucket teeth then it’s off and working again, typical mid-life digger that has had some use, and I have seen worse SY305s than this.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Load a lot of containers for West Africa out of different ports. Best thing about machdealers platform is they get the export docs right the first time. Commercial invoice, packing list, title. No delays at Jebel Ali Port Customs. Bought 4 KOMATSU PC200-8 from them so far.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.

The shipment from korea to Uganda took a little over four weeks, slightly longer than I was initially told, but the platform sent me weekly photo updates showing the machine's location on the ship, so I never worried about losing money. The machine arrived in perfect condition, and the short wait was worthwhile. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

We found a Volvo EC240 excavator at a very good price for our new residential project. The seller even uploaded complete maintenance records from the previous owner, saving us the cost of hiring an independent inspector and flying in to check the machine's condition. This alone saved us over $800 in travel expenses.
