Product Description
This is a Sany 980H excavator from China.First thing I took out of this one was the engine compartment which was dry with no sweating around the head gasket area, and a normal heat rust on the exhaust manifold like most used diesels with the intercooler pipes chrome and firm with the orange silicone couplers in place, and no clamp weeping.
Clean underneath center frame, bone dry swing bearing area, clean dry swivel joint (rehave to double check the pump shaft area, but no sheen of fresh oil anywhere on the deck above it either, there was old grime packed in around the base of the pump but none in the water). On the hydraulic filter bank, it’s got 4 or 5 canisters and no water by the base of the canisters, which would have been an indication to me that the fuel in the droppings is clean and there’s no seep marks on the canisters either. All 6/8 pilot solenoids are dry, ORFS crimp type fittings (no fresh staining or weeping), all 12 high pressure hoses are sumitomo riko 35mpa rated (sumitomo riko correct for a machine this size, no surface cracks or swollen end on any, that’s 3 lines into the adapter with 6 lines within the main). Cooling side had some dust on the pre-screen mesh, but not very much with no signs of a packed solid condition in the pre-screen mesh, AC condenser and main radiator core were in good shape, with no obvious bent fin sections. No leaks at all on this machine anywhere. It’s not a new unit, it’s just not concealing anything.
