Product Description
This excavator is a XCMG XE155GA. Clean pump – no fresh weeping on the continental hoses anywhere I could get my flashlight. Wait I’ll go take a second look at the turbo oil feed line, no, nothing is leaking below the dirt there, it’s just dry dust on the brass fitting. The 3251 hours on the dash is in-line with this being a yard machine, boom pins are good and the bucket teeth have some wear but not enough to have to replace at this time.
Some surface rust at hydraulic manifold under the cab but no leaking from the multi valve” spools, some old grease and dirt around hydraulic boots only. Steering levers are “normal” – no levers that allow to feather back and forth. Rotated the upper structure: no grinding with the slew ring gear while rotating when braking hard. Solid. When I arrived the fuel gauge was on E and that is very frustrating, had to listen to the low fuel beep all the way through running the hydraulics to check the cylinder drift. Left side of the track looks fine, but the right side is a bit loose, may need to be supplied with grease prior to moving. The idler seals externally appear dry but the only way to determine if they are being weeped gear oil is to power wash all of the undercarriage. There is some scratching of the paint on the counter weight and a dent in the right side panel, but not structural in any way. Inspected bucket pivot pins for any signs of play – they do not show any play but they are covered with surface rust on the keepers. Good. Overall it’s a running machine that has been used plenty and a few times stored wet (not that we ever did) and the continental hoses are original and haven’t deteriorated yet which is a plus.

The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.
