2024 SANY SY365H Large Crawler Excavator

Today I test-drove this excavator in a yard outside the supplier city. The tracks were stuck in rubble and bricks, making it difficult to see all the details at first glance. However, after starting the machine and letting it spin around a few times, I could observe it more closely. By the time I got here the engine compartment was open, so I started to work on the hydraulics – swing motor was clean with no weeping around the seals, and pump housing was dry as dust, wait a minute let me check my notes… yep, there was a dust caked on the filter canister, but that’s just site dirt – no oil mist or anything damp. The hoses still have their black hose cowls and the hose isn’t cracked or bulging, the fittings are tightened and there was no staining under the hose connections – I did not anticipate that with a hose that obviously has worked!

The secret place to focus is undercarriage since beyond here, there is your cash strolling away if it is a poor one. It is still uncertain how much wear remains on the tracks, as they have not been disassembled for inspection. However, the track plates appear to be in good condition, and the wear is quite even, so it is unlikely that one track is more worn than the other. When in operation, there was no wobbling of any sprockets or idlers, length of the rollers is fine and no cracks in the frames. Was also astounded about swing bearing, thought it would be much more mud filled, but it was basically dusty. It has normal scuffs that are not worn down to bare metal on boom and stick, no leakage on cylinders, the ring chrome under the boots on the rod looks good. Worn, but present, Bucket teeth. That metal cage around the back window is a good indication that Cab has been doing demo work, hence the brick everywhere. It was pretty gloomy and humid out there, so I was able to see that there was a little moisture on it there, but no definite oil drips I could see. Pins feel tight.  There are scratches on the boom, and some dings on the counter weight, but it’s a machine and not a show piece. The hydraulics, as I saw no smoke from the engine bay, are good, the tracks are still in good shape re replacement, the structure appears straight with no cracks at the mounting points. Mechanically it’s not a grenade but as for the purchasing, it will depend on the price.
