Product Description
I was invited by staff from Car Trucks Trade S.L. in Spain to inspect this Caterpillar 323D2L excavator.This machine was walked today and showing the approximately 90-95% left which is fair use for a 323D2L that has been working doing what it is supposed to do as opposed to dealer lot machine. There was some loosed around swing bearing, but this is just maintenance ‘bombum’ (clean oil) and I did double check to make sure it wasn’t a leak.
From the outside, it looks like a well-maintained, nearly new machine; the next step is to carefully inspect the interior.Clean engine bay – no smoke when I was able to run it earlier as described by the yard guy with REGA system tags still on it indicating it has been through their rebuild program at some point. The boom cylinders have black protective hose around their lines, and there isn’t any damage or a leak there at least. The cab has the mesh protector on front windshield; great for this kind of work to help prevent rocks from spidering windshield. There are counterweight bolts and they’re tight – No cracks in casting – but they might have been hidden – seems solid. The track frame is straight, there’s no bends or welds, which means that it hasn’t been rolled or abused. the Japanese text decals could still be read.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
