Product Description
I recently took advantage of the nice weather to go out and look for good equipment.CAT 312D2GC in a yard containing a group of Doosans and Komatsus – unit 022. First, the engine bay – I popped the side panels and it’s actually less dirty than I thought for a rental car out of China, there’s no hydraulic weeping and the tank is checked and empty, and the alternator wasn’t really that bad and no water under is pooling. Twice around the hoses and checked the fuel line connections – I thought on the first pass that I saw that something was wet around the fuel line connections but found it could have been the old dirt mixed with the morning dew or whatever, still didn’t see any oil anywhere. Cylinders seem to be in good shape; seals do not appear to be dry (dry cracking is very rare on equipment that is outdoors year round). Tension of the tracks appears to be good; tension not sagging. No damage to glass (no cracks in windshield), door seals appear OK.Based on my experience, this Caterpillar 312 D2GC is an excavator in excellent condition and appearance.
