Today, while inspecting machinery, I discovered this brand-new Caterpillar 345 large excavator. It must have been brand new, as even the cab was spotless, and the dashboard showed 0 hours.The lighting wasn’t so great during the inspection as it was a bit hazy out, but overall I could see panels of yellow – those appear to be fine – if there’s any serious cracks or dents, nothing showed on the bodywork very clearly, but counterweight seems solid. This one’s been parked on clean gravel at the dealership making it easier to check the undercarriage as it’s not full of mud and clay, but probably hasn’t been drived around much lately.

Picked up one 2025 CAT 320D2 for a highway expansion job we just won out in Texas. Was worried about the hours being rolled back because you see that everywhere now but our shop foreman plugged in the laptop and ECM matched the dash exactly. Good solid iron.

My guys have been running the Volvo EC210D we got off here for about 400 hours now. Zero downtime. The inspection report noted a slight weep on the bucket cylinder which I appreciated Equipment auditors on the machdealers platform telling me upfront. Repacked the cylinder for $150 and it's been making us money ever since.

We run a basalt quarry site in Central Ethiopia, we needed a 36 ton heavy excavator that can run 24/7 loading rock. Found a used KOMATSU PC 350 on here, after 3 weeks non stop continuous operation on site, engine temperature stayed normal all the time. That machine takes so much beating on our rocky ground, no issues at all. Exactly the tough workhorse we needed.
