2020 SDLG E6210F HD Crawler Excavator

I inspected this excavator today at a construction site where work was still underway. Workers were still digging around the machine, so we had to hurry. Under the hood of the deutz AG engine which also utilizes May 2020 common rail high pressure injection, is the SDLG E6210F HD. It is a little odd but intake hose on the Volvo stamped with a volvo part number. The valve covers are dusty, but dry with no seepage from the gasket and the oil filler cap is in place, and there’s no blow by smell when I hold my hand over the oil filler. Surface rust on exhaust manifold is not often seen but noted and likely due to the “humidity on the ground” a lot. Turbo is there, coolant reservoir shows to be the two chambered plastic style with level on the other side (trying to view from the top down) looks ok…housing does not show any cracks I could see at the top down angle I had.

Hydraulic pump face is dry – wait let me check – yeah I went back and looked at the pump picture again, just old dust caked on the fittings no wet staining at all or fresh oil ring around any of the port fittings. Eight bolt face plate – all bolts are in place. Left side of pump with a pilot (valve) block appears intact; accumulator dome is in place with warning sticker on it. On the other side of the hydraulic bay, all those hoses, and the swing-motor area are dust-coated; that must mean that it isn’t leaking much right now, or it would wash the dust away. The hose in the lower Hydraulic bay hose end fittings had some surface rust on the metal collar with no visible cracking of the hose body. On the main relief side of the hose, it will display ‘22.5MPa’ which is stock relief for this model. All valved blocks appear to be connected with wiring which still looks intact, although the wiring bay seems to have a ripped corner in the upper sheet metal housing. There’s no rebuilding done on the machine, boom chips at weld points, there is rust showing through on the arm, the bucket is a normal digging type, cutting edge isn’t as sharp as would be preferred, cab glass is used — no spiderweb cracks (green tint glass), I couldn’t access the cab interior — locked by the operator who was at the time in the middle of a pour nearby, the compliance plate is peeling very badly so serial number is only partial but starts with something ending in 0044 and the production date is confirmed 05/2020 and the China stage III engine.
