2023 SANY SY650H Large Crawler Excavator

Ran the SY650H this morning at the yard where there are 10 other excavators in the lot, there is an old dude selling knock-off safety gloves, nothing wrong, walked her out and let her idle for 10 minutes before touching an inch of it (This excavator has worked for 6403 hours — fuel consumption was at 2.5 liters per hour at idle — A/C kicked in and was blowing cold on auto set at 18 degrees — and no fault code but a note that the operator had flipped a switch on the sany touchscreen, “reverse hand mode” — not a mechanical issue, just a setting — engine itself, looks like it’s a six-cylinder inline — valve cover dry, no weeping at the oil cap, no smoke off the stack, no weeping anywhere at the turbos, no surface rust)

Undercarriage is where it is honest: On track there is steel triple-grouser, it may be worn 30-35%, but there are still some grousers remaining, and on the front idler, it is heavily oxidized, but I couldn’t see any seal leaks on it — although there’s a deal of dried out seal oil around the travel motor, but not a lot, and there are no wet spots on the travel motor — wait, no! back into track, there’s no wet oil around the travel motor, this tell, and the pump bay is undercarriage where it still had nearly all paint on it and haven’t been rattle caked by oil with any seal leak — and it has even got a blue port cap, still sitting on one unused hydraulic outlet: No one’s been carelessly pulling lines in or out around there are not! Machine digs fine. No play.Just used at 6400 hours, not because I like the look of it or anything, I’m just saying from what I could see by walking it about, no loop holes, no rod seal seepage on your boom or stick cylinders, the hydraulic response when pressing the boom and stick into roll was normal, no sluggish stuff I know.
